One of my friends is very anti-SUV, he is a BMW driver/owner (2 3-series and a z3), I took him for a ride in the 4.8is, he wasnt too impressed with the accel. but then I took the car around a 15mph turn at 50 ish (nobody was around, no obstacles, it was safe where I did this) with no problem at all. Needless to say, he was extremely impressed and a little less anti-SUV.
