All dimensions were a result of trial and error. I used cupboard in the beginning then I used the real box. I used the 0.8cm MDF at front and back because when I made a test using the real box without front and back I found out it would not fit if I used the 1.8, so I decided to go with the thin one instead of building a new box.

Mine is 2002 4.4 and the compartment is the same on all the E53s.
