I use the ignore option for a couple of regulars who often post links to stories and other sites without offering an explanation. Clueless idiots
but what are you going to do? Unfortunately, AFAIK, the forum software is not flexible enough to completely hide the posts they start.
I also use this link to hide Politics forum posts when I do a search for new posts:
