And 'not guilty' doesn't mean, "I didn't do it." - It just means I'm going to fight "the law" which is not the same as fighting "Justice"..

That's right. I had a good day today, when my ticket was dismissed in court, because Mr. State Trooper lost his notes/evidence.
"How do you plea?"
"Not guilty"
"Let's hear the evidence"
"Uh sir..........I seem to have lost his records. Can't find them, so motion to dismiss"
"Ok. Case dismissed, you're free to go"
It took perhaps, 45 seconds. After I'd waited 90 minutes. Saved me $156.
If you plea guilty, then the judge doesn't bother hearing the officer and his explanation, and assumes what you were written up for is true.
