The Dallas Academy is setting it's team/students up for failure. The two teams shouldn't even be playing together unless it's a pick up game.
Dallas Academy has eight girls on its varsity team and about 20 girls in its high school. It is winless over the last four seasons. The academy boasts of its small class sizes and specializes in teaching students struggling with "learning differences," such as short attention spans or dyslexia.

I'm sure Covenant, the winning team, knew what they were up against before the game even started. I has nothing to do with playing down to the loosing team's level. It's about showing some character.
The fact that they saw is as an opportunity to run up the score shows their lack of character. I would say Dallas Academy was the winner and Covenant was the looser in that department.
