If you do not want to squirt the headlights, pull the stalk towards you instead of using the "S" button.

Are you kidding me? I've owned this X since it had 3 miles on it and I never knew the difference between the stalk vs. the "S" button method! I better read the manual now about that! You just saved me a bunch of money on my washer fluid!!!
