I'm about to install the OEM smoked hood protector and was just wondering if there was anyone here who had done the install previously.

The instructions tell me to place several clear 3M bumper stops with adhesive onto the hood, I wanted to ask anyone who has installed this before if the adhesive or the stops damage the hood or paint. I will only have this hood protector on for the winter months.
