FAT_X5 was right about "right decision". With the same amount of money, he should have bought the newer, less mileage, less trouble Pilot. He didn't say same year. For those of us brag about our X, wait until the problems occur. We've been through this and we know why. For the same amount of money which he used to purchased the 4.4i 2001, he could have got himself a better vehicle, the Pilot that is. He regretted his decision, he didn't offend the BMW world so please be nice and be real. We all know X5 in early years is no where near as reliable as the Pilot (again same price here). FAT_X5, i also think you have had enough with the X, sell it and move on.
