It would have taken more balls to deny it considering there was positive sample bearing his name. He had no choice but to admit it. He didn't have to look far to see how other users fared - Petite and Giambi fessed up and they survived, pretty much unscathed. Then there's Clemens, who's being investigated by the Feds for perjuring himself in front of George Mitchell.
It was a no-brainer for A-Roid to confess. If Clemens and Bonds go down and end up doing time, then every other baseball player caught in a lie is going down with them.
There's no better way to clean up the sport than to send the MLB Homerun King and MLB Strikeout King to prison and I doubt if A-Roid wants to join them.
