No, we don't. But, we can partially blame the always diligent MSM for engaging in their excellent "investigative" reporting that they are so famous for.

And for a man that rode the change train in to DC, he sure seems to talk a lot of gloom and doom to speed through passage of a politically motivated spending bill that is a liberal wish list of government programs.

So many great quotes from Ronald Reagan explain the situation so well.

Quote:
In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.
Quote:
Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Quote:
The ten most dangerous words in the English language are "Hi, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
Quote:
"We the people" tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. "We the people" are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which "We the people" tell the government what it is allowed to do. "We the people" are free.
Something Obama should learn:
Quote:
Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts.
