Bimmernav ULF

Dear colleagues!
I install the ulf BLUetooth module instead of BMW assist modula on my X5 2004. everything works great (tanks bimmernav ) but when I tried to reprogram my car - turn on DRL, locking the doors after start moveing the car, etc... It is not possible anymore! As my serviceman says, I should remove the ULF and put back the assist module in place to cure the problem. is it true that BMW's cars "remember" all the installed electronic equipment and I should "replace" the blocks somewhere in the car memory ?
