More specifically, my 4.6is is a 2002 model year, but 12/2001 production date. If this kit will work with my DSP, non-Nav radio then I am going to look into it first. Where does the kit plug in? at the head unit or in the trunk by the CD changer?

EDIT: Just checked those part numbers on realoem. They list that part for the euro E53's (including euro 4.6is) and several US model 5 and 6 series, but not the US E53 X5's. Now I am really confused...
