Wow this post is a blast from the past...I tried everything under the sun, I installed new rubber hatch bumper stops, felt furniture guards on top of the rubber stops, etc....NOTHING worked, until I decided to get my rear bumper painted and when they reinstalled the bumper vuolla...
no more trunk rattle, knock on wood it is perfectly silent! Magic...you may want to have you bumper removed and reattached
