with all the above. The chances of you fitting well into a set off the shelf are good but unlikely. If you do setup into a standard set, then grab 'em and enjoy the money saved.

Shaft stiffness is solely a reflection of your swing speed. FAST swings need STIFF shafts to keep up. As the speed slows, the shafts should soften.

I learned to play with blades in High School. Play off and on currently. (Titleist, fitted)Have tried switching to cavity backs and CB hybrids. Can't seem to do it. They feel softer and kinda spongey.

I would recommend trying the blades first. If your swing is well paced and CONSISTENT into the strike zone, blades should work. They will add yards to the same swing vs the CB and most CB hybrids. Also, as you advance, it will allow you much more control over the ball.

If your swing is not consistent into the strike zone, then the CBs are by far the best choice. The whole point is to provide a larger and easier to hit sweet spot.

Bottom line is try them. Buy what works for you regardless of label or price. Take the ego out.

(a little advice: keep a Golf towel under your right arm pit. If your take away and load are correct, it should not fall. Otherwise, sliceOsaurus)
