Wow! That is a great price on a great camera! Congrats on the new camera. You will definitely love it I have my SD500 for about 6 months now and would not trade it for anything else...well...except may be for that SD550 that has the larger LCD screen

You should definitely consider investing in some larger SD high speed cards and an extra battery, though. That 512mb card would get depleted quickly, especially if you use the short movie feature (a 2GB card can only hold 16 minutes of 30FPS video). And at its highest resolution, each picture would go anywhere between 2MB-3.5MB...so a panarama picture could easily end up being 16MB-20MB in size!
