How do you make a connection between gun ownership and increased robbery rates. How do you make that jump with so many other factors in play?
For starter many other countries that have restrictions on guns put Thief's to death, others cut off hands or lock them up in prisons that are so terrible most American prisons look like a resort. They have more deterrent than America.
Of the more 1st world countries Gun ownership is not part of the culture. In countries such as Germany you will find pellet guns are very common and they will blow a hole in you better than a .22.
