They are right below the headlights. You should see the cut outs pretty easy. They pop out when activated. If I recall they activate when you wash the windshield, but only when the headlights are on. So if the headlights aren't on, the washer fluid will only squirt out on the windshield. I personally don't like the headlight washers becuase the stream is very strong and makes a big mess all over the hood.

on my 53, 2004 4.4 the headlight washers just came on about every 4 or 5 times you washed the windshield. Did not come on everytime you hit the washer.
