Hi guys I am attempting to upgrade my software version from v25 to v32 and have run into a problem. BTW I have a 2005 4.4i with stock navigation system and the MK 4.
Everything is good until I try to burn the file using alcohol 120%. I am using the exact steps from this thread.

At the menu where I have to click on browse and open the file when I click next a message pops up saying this exactly:
Alcohol detected a DVD burner installed on your computer. Do you wish to burn the current image file to a DVD media? (if you select no, Alcohol will only allow to burn the image file to a CD-R/W media). Here I have a choice of saying
yes or
no.
When I click yes a menu comes up where I choose the speed at which I want the write speed to be. I can set it at the lowest which is 1.2X. When I click start I get a message saying I must insert a blank disc even though I have already inserted one.
When I click no I get the same menu but I can only pick a lowest speed of 10X. I have not tried to burn at this speed because I think it is way to high.
This is where I am stumped and would really appreciate any help the members of this forum can provide. Thanks!!!
Oh yea and also if I screw up in this process but think I have done it right and walk over to my x5 and start updating the software will anything go wrong? I have heard of the problem where it will not eject but is there any problems where my navigation system could totally crash? Thank you very much for any help!
