i have managed to eject cd but have no red power light on the dvd drive

just wanted to ask before i try again with a working cd

will a known working os cd still be able to restore my navigation as i have lost the red light on the dvd drive? and there is no option on start screen for navigation and screen is blue and white only

eject button is still illuminated!
