Do you know which laser they are using ? I think in Dubai they also use a new technology- Sensys. The radar, I believe, is not use primarily to record speed but rather "track" time between two points. At some point it must take a speed reading to begin the track and I think the primary premise is measured from "point a" to "point b", point 'b" probably being the camera and a calculation is made during the track to determine the time, thus speed one traveled through the zone.
