In the quoted specs the iPhone is "NOT" included
as part of the list of devices that the cable will
work with. Knowing that leads me to believe it
will not work.

Does anyone know if it works with iphone 3g as well? (I don't see why not, but I do have a charger for ipod that doesn't work with iphone 3g, so who knows.) I don't understand this part of the description either... I think it is misleading:
" The dock connector also allows you to control the volume of your iPod through your stereo or computer instead of having to adjust the volume on the iPod."
I am sure you are still controlling the volume of the aux output device (car stereo, home stereo, etc.) and not the volume of the aux input device (iPod).
