I have OEM auto box filter part number as 24 11 7 557 069. It is a set with gasket and drain plug but my pan has an integrated seal and not a separate gasket. Aftermarket one was made by Elring and followins are major physical differences to the original:
1. Lacks oil intake extension to reach to the bottom of the pan;
2. Outlet seal lacks lower stop ring to prevent inserting outlet too far: and
3. Missing led that entends towards the pan to prevent outlet to come out.
I am not an engineer to know if these pose a major concern but did not want to take a chance. I suspect this Elring kit was originally intended for other GM application of the same trans - may have different shape pan, for instance. If new OEM is different from the orignal in place, I will report that separately.
Trans is A5S390R and green sticker calls for 83 22 0 403 249 fluid to be used, which is ETL8072B. Since my ETK is not the latest version, I do not have a superseded number/info. Sorry! Valvoline full-synth Dexron VI should be available at many auto supply places. I bought 10 qts at $5.50 each from a local auto parts store (chain ones did not stock Valvoline and offered Castrol synth-mix for about $8.50 a bottle).
I understand there are many other postings regarding to ETL8072B = Dexron VI and, yes, I did confirm that also.
If you do this, tightening torque is 18Nm for fill/drain plugs (Bentley indicates 20Nm and TIS says 18Nm - close enough) and 10Nm for bolts securing pan to the box. You will need to partially loosen a bracket that secures exhaust (to reach 2 of pan bolts) so please make sure you have 2 of 13mm wrenchs. It is an exceedingly simple job - if you have 2 sets of drive-on ramps, you even don't have to jack up the vehicle.
There is a concern of dislodging accumulations with fresh fluid but it seems to me, keeping the original fill only leads to a trans failure with certainty anyway. As I mentioned, I will redo the whole process in a few weeks so pretty much all of acidified fluid should be evacuated then.
Good luck, everyone.
