It's a shame really that such a great car would come with such a non pleasing to the eye option. Yes I realise that the hood protector is an oem option and yes it probably does its job although I've wondered why it dosen't protect the front bumper bar as well, it's like doing only half the job. Agreed on a black car it would blend in somewhat.
Something else to consider is that if the b/protector was such a cool option wouldn't the majority of members have one ??
JT///MC recently bought a 4.8 with clear bonnet protector and IMO it stands head and shoulders above the protector in question.

So just be aware that their are other options. I know which one I'd prefer. If you look real hard you can just make out the edge of the tape.
