Some thoughts: A dead battery can F* up a voltage regulator pretty easily, hopefully the new battery was charged up before install. I've seen them charging fine when idling but not when revs were applied. I'd check this out. Definitely check all the clamps downwind of the turbo to make sure everything is snug (you'll definitely know when one pops off --usually happens under boost)
