listen guys , you can`t beat quality ceramic or clay or porcelain tiles but do ensure you buy stuff that is impervious to oil etc ,also use tiles that have the best non slip rating you can get . i got buddies who do this stuff and they charge around £3 -£10 a square foot for labour . tile costs vary although good stuff can be purchased for similar price . you can do some amazing designs if you like , maybe buy a diy manual if your`e brave enough to lay flooring yourself , could take around 10 minutes per square foot overall to do job but don`t rush and prepare suface as smooth and flat as possible then laying tiles will be easy and last hundreds to thousands of years . a word to the wise if using porcelain then use specialist cutting tools as dust can be lethal .
