Looks like the answers are:

2004 530i = Yes. DIS v43 lists 5 series models E28, E34, E39, E60/61

2006 330 = No. DIS v43 lists 3 series models E30, E36, E46, E90/E91
EDIT : Wait a minute .. isn't the 2006 330 considered E90?! So, I guess its supported?


I'm still confident we can get the yellow head to work with DIS v55 for diagnosing. Seems like the cut-over year was around 2005-2006.

I'm still looking for answers on your other questions.

EDIT: I'll add a list of all supported models for v43 on the first post later.
