Hahaha .. I knew someone would ask those questions. However, I haven't finished my DIY yet.
But for you, here goes for now:
When you do the DIY it is for setting the STANDARD/DEFAULT ride-level. So, it displays the middle light like normal. This means that when I select the lower lever, it will STILL go lower.

I can't remember where I read this or where I got it (probably from all those BMW documentation I linked on the first post) but max range to lower is 50mm. Also, I selected 35mm drop, again can't remember how/why, but was under the impression that 35mm was the drop for the lower setting - so used that and thought I would be safe. Remember, I'm basing my DIY on my 4.8. Maybe the 3.0/4.4 has different tolerances - I just don't know. BTW ... When I use the lowest setting button, I have about 1/2" gap in the back.
