I just bought the interface for my 06 BMW X3. Installation was done following exact instructions from the videos and manuals for this model, and was a breeze. Problem comes when initializing. The problem may be with the incorrect audio input connected at the back of the radio, see the illustration below:
Swap the connector and your audio should return.
