Now the Mustang come on please, the V6 is like from a farm tractor, the suspension design McPherson struts and live axle is um older than the hills, and the modular motor aka the compromised design is inferior to the OHV V8 in every design criterion. Admittedly the 3 valve 4.6 is much better than the 2V OHC which started like a 215 HP and was “upgraded” to 260 HP with woops and praise, a mere 10 more HP than my V6 3.5. LOL The mod motor is bigger external, more complicated, more top heavy, far far harder to work on, poorer MPG, poorer torque, and less HP then the OHV from Chevy or Dodge. Really a turkey engine all the way around. Ford needs the eco-boost V6 at 375 to 400 HP or a new OHV 302 / 351 with aluminum block.
