LOL The mod motor is bigger external, more complicated, more top heavy, far far harder to work on, poorer MPG, poorer torque, and less HP then the OHV from Chevy or Dodge. Really a turkey engine all the way around. Ford needs the eco-boost V6 at 375 to 400 HP or a new OHV 302 / 351 with aluminum block.

We're talking about American pony cars...most of them feature what many people would consider "old technology".
The V6 Challenger only comes with a 4-speed slushbox, so that is not really ground breaking technology. I hear the 0-60 is in the mid to high 7's, which is also probably slower than the under powered Mustang. Plus, I can't get past the look of the Challenger, personally. The Mustang blows it out of the water, IMO.
I am just telling you what I saw at the car show. The Dodge/Chrysler floor had tumbleweeds blowing past the cars and the Ford section was very busy. Dodge/Chrysler has nothing on par with the new Taurus or Fusion for that matter. As far as the two companies go, I guess you can tell from the bailout which is doing better than the other.
Also, according to fueleconomy.gov, the V6 Challenger only gets 1 combined MPG better than the V6 Mustang.
