The V6 Challenger only comes with a 4-speed slushbox, so that is not really ground breaking technology. I hear the 0-60 is in the mid to high 7's, which is also probably slower than the under powered Mustang. Plus, I can't get past the look of the Challenger, personally. The Mustang blows it out of the water, IMO.
I am just telling you what I saw at the car show. The Dodge/Chrysler floor had tumbleweeds blowing past the cars and the Ford section was very busy. Dodge/Chrysler has nothing on par with the new Taurus or Fusion for that matter. As far as the two companies go, I guess you can tell from the bailout which is doing better than the other.
Also, according to fueleconomy.gov, the V6 Challenger only gets 1 combined MPG better than the V6 Mustang.

A retro car is suppose to be just that, retro. Throwing a V8 in a Grand Am and calling it a "GTO" or creating an entirely new chassis with independent suspension and the rest and calling it a "Camaro" is crap. There are no, zip, zippy characteristics of the new Camaro, GTO, Charger that share any similarities to their legacy's. There is not much that relates the Charger, GTO or Camaro back to its roots, not much at all..aside from maybe having 8 cylinders. BTW, who cares about mpg when buying a "muscle car", it is like caring about mpg when buying a "M".
