My fave band of the mid-late '90s, Counting Crows, required a steady diet of listening while doing cross-country M'cycle trips and reading the liner notes' words to get to where I can sing along.
Ya wanna hear enunciation, regardless of whether you like them or not: old Simon & Garfunkle. Even Dylan's recent Classic, "Mississippi" is easliy discernable, lyric-wise.
Beethoven didn't do many lyrics, other than the world class Ninth Symphony and some minor league stuff.
I sound like an ol'grouch, here, lol!
