Imo, that post is not really the kind of Stickie needed...a cursory perusal of the Search Tab will produce literally pages
of Oil Threads, of all possible topics and opinions. And, a quick look at the links on the Front Page show at least
3 Stickie/Archived links on oil, lubrication, etc.

I am not dismissing your idea, but this topic has been covered until most of us, new or long time reader, are blue in the face.

Back at the JiffyLubeRanch, the bottom line, imo, is to use the dlr's "free oil" for top offs and annual oil changes, under warranty.
After that, there are a plethora of top quality oils out there on the shelf, with viscosity ranges, brands and API ratings to cover
everyone's needs, imo.

Oils today are generally of amazing quality and life and our Xs are not ProStock 7 second cars.
