Well...that's the truth.

That is typically how it works. One car dominates, like the M5 did, then someone makes a newer model to top it. I would bet the new M5 will top the CTS-V and the cycle will continue. The current M5 is at the end of it's run.
Plus, Roebling Raceway is sort of a slower, tight course where the huge displacement and torque advantage of the V shines.
