I totally agree, happened to me as well in rainy weather, a screw was stuck in there, thanks to the runflat, we were able to get home and then got the RFTs repaired at a shop the next day. I definitely realized the value of RFTs and will get them again.

from what i understand you can't and should not repair RFTs as the shop can't be sure of whether or not you have structural damage on your tires from driving on low psi tires?
