Has anyone replaced the factory nav with an aftermarket nav? What will I be losing in functions by doing this?
You'll likely lose the steering wheel controls for the stereo. You'll need a pro to install it, unless you're well versed yourself- I doubt the BMW harnesses will just plug into it.

There's a lot of naysayers about the BMW Nav system, but really, it ain't that bad. Best part of your deal is that if something happens to your BMW Nav, it's covered under warranty for the period of your agreement. Can't say that about an aftermarket system.

Believe me, you'll need the extra $$ for parts and maintenance!
