This is a good question for anyone who has already personally done this mod. I have not, but I would bet that the main thing you will notice is the ride quality difference. The 87's will be a little more harsh than what you have now.
I would also bet that the differences in acceleration, stopping distances and and MPG's will be so small that you won't be able to tell. Not saying there won't be a difference, because the heavier wheels will affect acceleration, stopping distances and wear and tear on the pads/rotos, but it will be so small that you will most likely not notice.
If you can stand a little more harsh ride, the looks will more than make up for it, IMO.
