I find this very hard to believe! I use auto hold on the way home when ever the highway is backed up. I have never seen a difference in the gas mileage. Even if you were to leave it on all the time, it's not actually being used in any way. All it does is hold the vehicle for you instead of pressing the brake pedal. Not sure how that would affect gas mileage.
