PersonaNonGrata,

As someone who ran Win Vista for 6 months and then went back to Win XP, I was a little sceptical with all the hype about Win 7.

Anyway, after trying Win 7 for a while, I was so impressed (by the UI, the capabilities, the stability, and the speed) that I went out and bought a 64-bit capable PC so that I would be ready when the Win 7 RC comes out. I have Win 7 x64 and Vista x64 on that new PC right now. I can not believe how well Win 7 recognized everything that I have installed in, and connected to, that new PC.

So I can't really talk about specifics that I like about Win 7 yet (as I'm actually enjoying Vista x64) but there is no doubt that Microsoft has finally come out with a worthwhile OS upgrade -- the last good one was Win 2000!
