Ok, I took the X5 to Advance European Automotive in Bakersfield and after 193.00 later the car is still doing the samething (ABS and Brake light on, blowing the brake light fuse and lost all steering wheel control). They wanted another 400.00 to fit it. Are they insane?
So what I did, and I suggest you do, is keep your 600.00 in you pocket. My problem was with the steering wheel harness not connecting properly. It took me about 20 min to fit it. I took off the steering wheel airbag and unpluged and re-pluged the harness and replaced the fuse. By doing it this way, the only out of pocket expense is the cost of a 5 amp fuse.
So far all is well.
