This is my first post here but I picked up a 2009 X3 last week. Over the weekend I found a used BMW roof rack that was suppose to fit my X3. After bringing it home and trying to install it I noticed on the under side of the rail was inscribe X5. Does anyone know if I can modify the roof rack to fit my X3? If the towers will fit my factory roof rails I was thinking of shortening the roof rack rails so it will fit my X3?? Otherwise I will just sell it and buy one from the dealership.
