Hi Sash,
Make sure that your disc is burned in mode2, i used a v32 mode2/form1 image downloaded from this site. and supposed you have the correct cd, just turn the ignition to position 1 and wait for some time (1-2 mins) then insert the cd and wait till it automatically loads the new firmware and you should see an upgrade screen bla bla bla. if still nothing happens, turn it off or 0 remove the key and wait 5 mins this time turn the engine on and wait for the menu to load (assuming you have taken out the cd already) then load the cd back. keep trying these combination and you should be able to recover the GPS... BTW, i now have the latest logo, the roundel with BMW from v32 cd...
