redline, you are right about BSW being an 8 inch sub. and thats one expensive amp in your link!

so i'm going to come clean here, i really don't speak car audio. so all the assistance i can get would be great.

so how do i know what kind of amp i need? $600 for an amp seems like ALOT (the one in the link)

and what did you mean by the 8 inch sub being too 'mid punchy' ? also BSW's setup came with an amp included in the price, so i guess its safe to assume its not that great?

finally, since JL seems the way to go, IF i decided to go with the stealthbox, whats are some amp options to look at to keep me within my budget of $1000 (the lower the better)...
