Yes, the X "strength" is good.
It's tricky to find a logo for a non-word like "xoutpost" though when there is desire to emphasize the "X"
Some of the examples, in the posts above, have a large X in front of what appears to be the URL "outpost.com"...
bmwman3241's are the only one that makes it absolutely clear that the URL is "xoutpost.com" -- I'm not saying that one would not get there from the others. I really like
LVR's images but those don't make it clear what the URL is...
