There is another (often overlooked) oil filter you should change in the diesel X5. Dont ask me what its called but I know BMW modified it as there were problems with the original. Its a small plastic type with a mesh in the middle, located down near the rocker cover. Ill see if I can find the part number, as I had mine changed last service. Sorry about the poor description.
