StumpyPete is on a distinguished road
This is all a negotiating stance, there is no competing series so pulling out would effectively screw Ferrari.
  1. Le Mans Prototypes - not enough viewership
  2. Nascar - wrong target audience
  3. IRL - ony N.America
  4. WTCC - they would'nt like to get beat by manufacturers like Chevrolet and SEAT

If they pull out they have nowhere to go, yes they could start up a series of their own, but who would sanction it, and they would struggle to put everything in place for 2010.

Ferrari needs F1 just as much as F1 needs ferrari. The other manufacturers could go and no-one would really notice.

A deal will be done! Probably at a higher budget cap.
