Hold on, is the loom for a fixed BIT-II phone with the 54pin plug, that would explain it, it's wired differently for the BIT-II than the ULF (even tough its the same plug).
What year was the car that the loom came from??

I can find out what year it came from. But what you say mkes sense. I'll contact Bimmernav.

Don't connect it again it could seriously damage the cars systems.

Hopefully thats not why my car wont start up again. its asking for radio code after i removed battery terminal while doing another mod. We'll see. I entered radio code and doesnt work - i've let it sit for the 10min to 1hr has ppl here suggested and also BMW Assist. May have to send it to dealer to reset computer. But taht's another thread. LOL

There is a converter from BIT-II to ULF, it's cheap, bimmernav does them (I think), try that first.
|
Will do. So if i do this i don't need the amp? Sorry if this is redundant question to what you answered, just want clarification.

If you had the cd player upfront (incorporated into the radio), then the plugs are all up front behind where the radio normally sits.
When you retrofit it all get re-placed in the boot (trunk), but all the main connections are still where the radio was.

Yes had radio up front. I'll have connectors checked again.

The ULF does not have a sperate amp, it uses the radio module to amp ist output.
It should, but see above re the bit-II vs ULF.
It should, but see above.

OK - so it looks like my answer is contact bimmernav for the converter - and that may solve my ULF issues as long as plugs up front etc are plugged in correctly as well.
