Leaking washer fluid - diagnosed
Okay a few months ago, we would hear a gurgling liquid noise from the X3. We couldn't figure it out. Fast foward -the low washer fluid light came on. Filled it up and 4 hours later on the hightway the light came back on- it was empty. WTF?
At home, I refilled it. It didn't go out for like a week. There had to be a leak but no liquid on the ground. The leak had to be with IN the car.
Turns out there's a connection on the inside by the center console that fails. Yup, the connection seperates on occasion. The estimated repair time is like 10 HOURS! Yes ten hours. They have to remove the seats, center console, carpets and padding. They got to check the electricals down there and dry out the carpet.
We got ours covered under warranty- whew. Just want to share this if your fluid is mysteriously missing.
