I think Obama is the fresh face america desperately needed. Not only is it a major milestone and total encouragement for blacks and other minorities (minority being ANYONE other than an apparently healthy, old, white, male...I even include handicap folks). Obama is also good for opening america's eyes that not all black folks are undereducated, violent, thugs...which is what most of america seems to believe about us; these folks are actually limited to the blacks in poverty, and it applies to folks in poverty of other ethinicities as well, but, their ethinicities have not been branded as have we (I'm actually mixed, but, look all black...but, you get the point).

Anywho, for foreign relations, Obama is definitely a huge scorer here! He does not walk around flexing his muscles like our previous leaders; he's a pretty casual guy, and folks are become more and more down to earth nowadays. Additionally, our economy is in a horrible state and it's the consumer that drives the economy. When Bush left office, the gov't threw everything at the consumers, and they absolutely still had no confidence. Even if it's just a mind game (which people claim; I have yet to form my conclusion), Obama has done a helluva job to build confidence in folks, and the markets and consumers are growing more and more confident at rates experts have not predicted.

Is Obama perfect? Not at all...but come on, it's not like he's been in office for years. Since when did were we all so focused on the president's performance with just a couple months in office? The man has a gazillion jobs on his plate and I think he is doing a pretty good job thus far...even if some of it is the hot air that's building confidence. Point is, there are tons of huge problems we're facing, and it's gonna take time to see drastic results.

I'm not gonna be blind and accept everything Obama says and does, but, I'm definitely going to support him and hope he does what is necessary to take care of our nation. I would never wish failure upon he, or any other president...as we are the ones who would be affected most.
