I don't mind the venting. And its good to hear about your dealer experiences because it may save somebody a headache later down the road.

Throughout this forum you will find that a lot of us stick with the same dealership that we had a wonderful experience through or many of the wondering independent shops out there.

Since it looks like your X5 will be coming off of CPO warranty this year and you already have an older 3-series I am sure there are plenty of people in this forum that would be happy to suggest a good Indy shop in your area to save you some cash and time.
